From 15 April 2019, there will no longer be a separate syllabus and certificates for practical coastal and inland (Powerboating and Dinghy) or tidal and non-tidal (Windsurfing) courses. What does this combined course include?
The new combined syllabi will ensure that all candidates will have covered the concepts of handling their craft, navigating and pilotage in areas with streams, currents and significant tidal range. Wherever possible the syllabus should be delivered practically.
If this is not possible, it must be covered theoretically. New practical certificates will be available in 2019 with the coastal/inland or tidal/non tidal text removed.
