Visit Ness botanic gardens, located close to Chester, and plant enthusiasts will enjoy strolling around the 64 acres worth of gardens, which were designed and constructed in the 1800s, with views over the beautiful river Dee.
If gazing across the River Dee isn’t enough for you, you could boat across it instead! There are frequent short river cruises you can book, as well longer afternoon tea cruises which pass through the Duke of Westminster’s private estate.

Spend the day at the Hack Green Nuclear bunker, which had remained hidden for over 50 years. You can explore the once government-owned bunker and its vast 35,000 square foot underground quarters. This bomb proof bunker would have housed the regional government officials if a nuclear war had ever happened!
