RYA Safety Boat

Introducing the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) safety boat courses available at Peak.

Participants must hold RYA Power Boat Level 2 qualification and should have basic knowledge of sailing boats & windsurfing.

This course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat for e.g. open water swimming, or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers, canoes, or for racing and training activities. The course also includes rescue techniques and elements of race management.

  • All courses run for 2 days from 9am to 5pm.
  • Please note we do not provide wetsuits.
  • This course is held at Trafford Watersports Centre, Manchester.

    • Complete the required safety and medical forms that have been sent to the email address you completed the booking with.
    • Bring suitable footwear to wear during the activity.
    • Consider bringing a towel and change of clothing for the ride home.

    • Sign-in at the check in desk.
